The original call I made to schedule a service appointment for a slow drain in our shower was pleasant, easy, and thorough. Jim and John were outstanding technicians. They were able to arrive earlier than the scheduled service window and communicated via phone to ensure it was ok to do so. They quickly identified the issue I had called about and resolved it expertly. They provided excellent advice for possible future issues and were an absolute pleasure to work with. I had an issue with my shower fixture and called 3 plumbing companies to get an estimate and time frame to schedule the repair. When I called 535 Plumbing, I was informed that I need to send them pictures of the fixture which I did on the same day. No response. I called back a week later and left a message. No response. SIX WEEKS later, I get a voice message they are following up on my telephone call. Obviously, I had the replacement shower fixture completed by another company. No NOT get fooled by their TV commercial about their wonderful customer service at reasonable rates. The other two companies that provided an estimate were within $20.00. I suspect their business practice is to prioritize jobs that brings in the most money.

Very thankful they were available on a Sunday. Called in my request late Sunday morning then Jay came out on that same afternoon. We had a leak from our toilet of our 2nd floor bathroom that was causing mold above our ceiling of the 1st floor 1/2bath. Long story short, it was a deteriorated wax ring. It got replaced with a fresh wax ring and after several flushes after that, I confirmed the leaking had stopped! Phew! Mahalo to 535 Plumbing and Jay for coming out to our house. Now I just have to worry about replacing the portion of ceiling where the mold grew....but, at least we got rid of its source of food!

We had a problem with our toilet and after calling multiple plumbers on a Sunday 535 Plumbing was the only company that would give us a precise time of arrival. In fact the technician arrived earlier than expected which was a relief. He was courteous, mindful and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Not only did he fix the initial problem but he went beyond the scope I requested and changed a few parts that were old and would need to be replaced without going over the estimated cost. I wish I knew about 535 Plumbing earlier!

they MOVED! used to be in Lower Kalihi by Gulick Avenue, but recently moved to Iwilei by former Hilo Hattie's / City Mill in Nimitz Area... Had them re-line our pipes to main C & C pipes. Our drainage is smooth now and don't have to snake & plunge our bathtub or 'clean-out' any more.

Needed my hot water heater replaced. the plumber was on time and did the plumbing work well. when he wired the heater to the power source he claimed there was no power going to the water heater. he just said I needed to call an electrician and he left. I called an electrician who said it would be very expensive to come out that day and advised me to try and troubleshoot the problem myself. when I took the wiring panel off of the water heater I could immediately tell the thing was wired wrong. the black and red heavy gauge power cables were wired to some thin gauged sensor wires. they weren't even wired to the water heater power wires. when I sent a picture to the plumber he admitted it was wrong but then asked me if I ""just wanted to fix it myself"". when I said no he sent his apprentice out and had him fix it while the plumber was telling him what to do over the phone. this service was expensive. I will never go through these guys again.

Great service and fairly priced. Staff was friendly and helpful, technicians who came out and had to dig to repair an underground leak were very professional and explained what they were going to do. Actual work required less than was estimated and they charged me less than the estimate.

We had an under slab hot water pipe leak in the kitchen area. Called 535 Plumbing, Jim and John came out early the next morning, assessed the situation and did a temporary fix. They came out two days later (for our convenience) to reroute the hot water pipe in the attic. Their carpentry crew came out the following week and did an excellent job patching the drywall access points. All work was done in an expeditious, professional manner. I would highly recommend 535 Plumbing.

I recommend 535 Plumbing -- not only were they able to see us on the same day (a Friday afternoon, no less!), they were courteous, efficient, and able to repair a difficult-to-fix, plugged shower drain. The repair costs were fair and clearly provided beforehand. I'm very happy with their quick and excellent service. Mahalo plenty!
