I read the Yelp reviews and thought they would be a company that would figure out how to sustain the pilot light on my water heater as I would have to relight it every two weeks-WAS I WRONG!
The gal who answered the phone was pleasant. She took down the water heater information and scheduled an appointment for the tech to come to my house. The appointment was made far enough in advanced so they could order the ""probable"" parts related to the pilot light. The appointment was scheduled on October 2 between 9am -10am.
While I waited and waited for the tech, I had to keep calling the office to find out the ETA. They were having trouble locating the tech and was told the owner was going look for him at the site. At 12:30pm Derek, the tech, called and said he was on his way and arrived at 1pm. Derek was pleasant, amiable, and just a nice guy. I became very concerned when he shared he had never seen the type of yellow build up on the gas water heater burner and didn't know what it was. He also shared that after ""touching"" the thermocouple it would no longer work. Well, I called a plumber friend in Nebraska who laughed and said it was not true.
I was also misinformed on a few other items and google disproved what I was being told. I truly believe it was not Derek's intention to misinform me, I believe it comes from whoever trained him. I called the plumbing company and spoke with Jeff the owner. I tried to eloquently explain my concerns. He was outrageously rude, brought condescending to a whole new level, and I fervently believe apologies and understanding a situation do not exist in his universe. The conversation concluded with a ""good luck finding someone to work on your water heater because we are done."" I have NEVER been treated so poorly- I'm amazed at how he even stays in business!
HEED MY WARNING - skip this business!!!

ABT PLUMBER is on there way now!! So, debunked again -Jeff you are not the only one in the area that works on my type of gas water heater !

The service we received from Derek the service technician was so professional. He really had knowledge of our Navien instant hot water heater. My husband and I are very great full for the quick service we received. Will use them from now on !!!!!!
We called for service on a Monday and Derek the service technician was here Tuesday morning.
Explained why we were not receiving hot water all
of a sudden.

Jeff and his team are the best! Been working with them for over a year now and they always show up on time, do a perfect job and are reasonably priced. They installed a tankless water heater, ran water to my shop and a few other smaller jobs.
I highly recommend 49er Plumbing. Don't waste your time on other plumbers, get Jeff and his team to do the work for you and be forever happy.

I called them to fix a complex water pressure problem with my bathtub, I explained that the problem was likely with the fixture and may need to have fittings custom welded so that the current hose connections could be eliminated to improve water flow. The owner said that they would be able to do this but he wanted to look at it first because maybe using bigger pipes would help.

They sent another plumber out who said the connection was fine, but he wasn't prepared to put in bigger pipes and they would call me to reschedule.

The never called back... I finally called and rescheduled. They came put in bigger pipes but absolutely nothing changed with the water pressure.... nothing except a $500 bill.

No other suggestions to fix the problem, the bigger pipes still connected to the same exact hoses.

So I told the owner I wasn't happy with the situation, he started yelling at me saying I was trying not to pay him and that I owe him money.

That was NEVER in dispute, I never said I didn't want to pay him or wanted a reduced bill. I only want the problem fixed.

I knew going In that this was a complex issue likely involving the fixture and needed custom work.

I was expecting to pay around $1000

But the owner just wanted a easy fix and did not want to do the work needed to fix the situation.

Instead he just wanted to attack me and accuse me of trying not to pay, for the simple reason I was unhappy the problem was not fixed.

I can't recommend this company to anyone based on the fact they have not delivered any kind of real working solutions or anything close to acceptable customer service.

Thank you Jeff & Isaac at 49er Plumbing for installing the navien tankless water heater, we couldn't be more pleased. We highly recommend them, no job to big or small, they get it done, oh and they love dogs!

I don't recommend 49er Plumbing and Drain. Jeff came out quickly and installed our on demand water heater but when I called to have him come out for follow up service he never returned my call after repeated attempts. So if you care about after sale follow up service you may not get it here.

We just moved here and needed a plumber for our tankless water heater. It was working intermittently. I called jeff, the owner, and he came out Friday. He did some cleaning and adjusting and advised us to watch for error codes. His fee was very reasonable and he was very personable, timely and professional. Over the weekend it did act up again and we got the error code. On Monday I called Jeff back and he was at our place a few hours later. He spent considerable time troubleshooting the problem, fixed it, and did not charge us anything. He was so honest, something I'm not used to I guess. He also gave us advice on another issue instead of trying to make more money from it. Where I come from that probably would have been another story. I am proud to say he is our plumber.
