Afterward, he transferred to Oelwein, Iowa and secured a role at a RainSoft dealership in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a sales lead. In 1981, Terry established RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc in Oelwein. By 2006, RainSoft of Oelwein grew and built a new 6,120 square foot building in Waterloo, Iowa. The new site allowed RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc to become known as RainSoft of NE Iowa. The family legacy carried on as Terry welcomed his daughter Rachel as the newly appointed vice president of RainSoft of NE Iowa. By 2016, RainSoft of NE Iowa extended its coverage area, now covering Jackson, Clinton, Scott, and Muscatine counties.
Rachel entered the family business in the year 2006 and has been one of the owners since then. Having grown up RainSoft, she has known the brand since birth. Rachel attended UNI with plans to obtain a degree in teaching, but became interested in the business world instead. Post-graduation, she worked in a few roles before deciding to join the family business!
