His sons joined the business: Fred joined in 1946 and Glenn Jr. in 1950. The business saw four of Glenn's sons join the team: Fred and Glenn in Bristol while Charles and Ralph later operated in Vergennes, after the purchase of ""Thomas Mack Coal Co."" in Vergennes, which was rebranded as Jackman Fuels, Inc. in 1938. In 1947, we expanded our product line to include fuel oil and later added LP gas. By 1967, coal sales ceased.
Following Glenn Jr.'s death in 1974, Fred Jackman assumed full ownership of Jackman's. He managed the company until his retirement in February 1995, when he passed the business to his sons, Paul and Peter. On July 16, 2018, Paul and Peter sold the company to Timothy Bouvier and his wife, Kristine Evarts Bouvier. Tim joined the company in 1999. With this new ownership came a new name: Jackman's of Bristol, Inc..
