His sons later became part of the company: Fred in 1946 while Glenn Jr. joined in 1950. Glenn's four sons joined the operation: Fred and Glenn worked in Bristol and later, Charles and Ralph worked in Vergennes, after the purchase of ""Thomas Mack Coal Co."" in Vergennes, which transitioned to Jackman Fuels, Inc. in 1938. Fuel oil was introduced to our offerings in 1947 and later added LP gas. Coal sales ended in 1967.
Fred Jackman became the sole owner of Jackman's after Glenn Jr.'s passing in 1974. He managed the company until his retirement in February 1995, at which point he sold the business to his sons, Paul and Peter. On July 16, 2018, the company changed hands to Timothy Bouvier and Kristine Evarts Bouvier from Paul and Peter. Tim joined the company in 1999. This transition brought a new name: Jackman's of Bristol, Inc..

I completed 10,000 hours of practical training and five years of coursework at the Union hall, ultimately obtaining my Master’s plumbing license in Vermont and New Hampshire in 2006. In 2006, I started my business to provide additional income when work was scarce in the Union. I was with the Union from 1999 until just recently, when I decided to dedicate myself fully to my company. I have worked on everything from small residential tasks to the largest industrial semiconductor projects in the nation. Having been born and raised in Rutland, I now reside in Rutland Town. I commit to providing top-notch work and guarantee my results.
