Four of Glenn's sons became part of the business: Fred and Glenn in Bristol and later, Charles and Ralph worked in Vergennes, following the acquisition of ""Thomas Mack Coal Co."" in Vergennes, which was rebranded as Jackman Fuels, Inc. in 1938. In 1947, fuel oil was added to the product line and subsequently included LP gas. Coal sales ended in 1967.
Following Glenn Jr.'s death in 1974, Fred Jackman assumed full ownership of Jackman's. He operated the business until his retirement in February 1995, when he transferred ownership to his sons, Paul and Peter. On July 16, 2018, Paul and Peter sold the company to Timothy Bouvier and his wife, Kristine Evarts Bouvier. Tim joined the company in 1999. This transition brought a new name: Jackman's of Bristol, Inc..
