David Sulouff hails from Bedford, Massachusetts, roughly half an hour from Boston, and relocated to Norfolk, Virginia after graduating high school. He pursued mechanical engineering in college until a family health issue prompted him to pause his studies. Taking a break from school, he began a plumbing apprenticeship, participating in commercial construction projects including the Camp Allen MUH building in Norfolk, the Sentara Princess Ann hospital in Virginia Beach, and the Langley Air Force Base hospital renovation in Hampton. After completing his apprenticeship and passing the state board for contractors journeyman plumber exam, he became a licensed plumber, working as a plumbing contractor at Little Creek Amphibious Base in Norfolk. After holding the journeyman plumber card for a year, he took the state board for contractors exam to become a master plumber and also obtained his class C contractor license, which led to the creation of David Sulouff Plumbing!
