My name is Steve Walters, and I serve as the President and Owner of Walters Environmental Services, Inc., which my parents, Faber and Beverly Walters, established in 1973. They created a septic cleaning unit mounted on a truck, which cost $900. With my mom, Bev, as the secretary and dispatcher, our family entered the small business landscape. Back then, my sister, brother, and I were still in school. We adjusted to the distinct demands of the service industry. After completing college, I returned to work and began at the ground level of our company, eventually purchasing the business from my parents and guiding it into a new direction in the septic industry. In 1990, Jones Plumbing was officially recognized as Jones Plumbing, Inc.. By 1993, to improve service, the owner hired his brother Ronald, Ronald M., as the business manager. By 2001, the founder assumed ownership of the company, continuing the tradition of service into the 21st Century. In 2012, Jason took over the company. Steven hired Jason at the company as an trainee. In 1996, the apprentice married Melanie and enrolled Valley Forge Christian College to become a clergyman while his wife finished her early education degree. The year 1998, Jason and Melanie returned to Carlisle and he was rehired the business. After further training, he was promoted to a service technician. In 2000, they accompanied by their young daughter, settled in Millersburg, PA to serve as part-time youth pastors while maintaining part-time plumbing duties. In 2001, he established his own contracting company, Wetzel's Contracting in Millersburg, PA while still serving in the faith community. In 2003, the couple bought a home in Carlisle, PA and moved back with their two children, Caleb and Bethany. By 2012, he took over Jones Plumbing Inc. while maintaining his contracting business.
