I achieved journeyman status four years after that and subsequently started my own plumbing business.
I enjoy traveling; I recently visited Nepal and spent time in Hawaii. Gardening is a hobby of mine, and I believe in sustainable agriculture. I admire Masanobu Fukuoka, the Japanese gardener and scientist behind ""One Straw Revolution"". The teachings of Bill Mollison, the father of modern permaculture, have also shaped my views.
I grew up on a raspberry farm near Sandy, where my family and I worked hard to clear the land and cultivate it. I still reside in the same neighborhood. Recently, my wife and I bought a house; we are proud parents of a young son and daughter.
