I began my journey in plumbing as a child, assisting my father with excavation projects and septic system installations. My brother works as a journeyman plumber, and I sometimes helped him with his tasks. After serving in the Army for three and a half years, I began an apprenticeship at Robertson Plumbing in Damascus. Four years later, I earned my journeyman status and later established my own company.
I love to travel; my recent trips include Nepal and a visit to Hawaii. Gardening is a hobby of mine, and I believe in sustainable agriculture. Masanobu Fukuoka, who wrote ""One Straw Revolution,"" is one of my inspirations; he was a Japanese gardener and scientist. Bill Mollison, the pioneer of modern permaculture, has influenced my approach as well.
I was raised on a raspberry farm near Sandy, working alongside my family to clear and cultivate the fields. I continue to live in the same area. My wife and I have just acquired a home, and we are blessed with a young son and daughter.
