After serving in the Army for three and a half years, I began an apprenticeship at Robertson Plumbing in Damascus. I became a journeyman four years later and eventually launched my own business.
I enjoy traveling; I recently visited Nepal and spent time in Hawaii. I also have a passion for gardening and support sustainable farming practices. I admire Masanobu Fukuoka, the Japanese gardener and scientist behind ""One Straw Revolution"". Bill Mollison, the pioneer of modern permaculture, has influenced my approach as well.
My childhood was spent on a raspberry farm close to Sandy, where my family and I toiled to clear and cultivate the land. I continue to live in the same area. My wife and I have just acquired a home, and we are blessed with a young son and daughter.
