With just an old van and a vision, Scott and Jody Bird founded Apollo Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, originally known as Apollo Drain and Rooter Service! Scott worked as the plumber, and Jody took care of office dispatch and accounting. For every job, Scott maintained a flat fee of only $26.50, no matter how challenging or lengthy the task was. His guiding principle was, and remains, ""Big enough to handle the job, yet small enough to care."" Through hard work and the support of his three sons, Apollo has evolved into what it is today and will continue to thrive for years to come!
Growing up in the Tri Cities, Scott Bird spent his youth working on a farm alongside his dad until he was 19. After high school, he opted to serve a two-year mission for his church in Germany. Upon his return, he went to Ricks College, now BYUI, where he met his sweetheart Jody, and they got married in 1983.

Throughout the last 38 years, Steve has advanced in the industry and earned the designation of Master Journeyman in the 90s. Several years ago, the economy took a downturn and concurrently, he felt exhausted from working for another company. He made the decision to establish his own plumbing firm and in the end achieve a better livelihood while training his son to pursue a similar career. Running a company is a true representation of living the American Dream.
