My construction career started in my early teens when I helped a family friend build an addition to their house at just 13 years old. This early experience allowed me to assist a neighbor in framing his hangar, and soon I was involved in building barns, sheds, remodeling, and preparing rental homes and decks. I then pursued a career as an Electrical Apprentice for 2.5 years, followed by a 2-year stint as a Data Technician. Next, I worked as an independent contractor in home installations for 3 years, handling everything from electronics and appliances to switches, lights, dishes, TVs, smart home systems, surround sound, and more. At present, I am an on-call maintenance technician for a nursing home and a rental company, tackling everything from drywall and plumbing to electrical repairs, appliance fixes, adding switches and outlets, and general upkeep.
