Founded in 1928 by the Schneller family, Rudy and Jean Schneller were the first owners. The company was bought by Kris Knochelmann in 2011. Since high school, Kris has worked in the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning field. He purchased his family business, Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating & Air, in 1991 with his brothers and brother-in-law. They sold that business to Service Experts, a national chain owned by Lennox, in 1997. After Kris's position was eliminated in 2011, he decided to buy Schneller. He is now joined by his three brothers, four nephews, previous technicians, managers, installers, and office staff, all dedicated to treating customers as family. That's how it should be!

Kris Knochelmann finished Covington Latin School and received his accounting degree from Xavier University in 1991. Lisa Knochelmann graduated from Notre Dame Academy and NKU with an accounting degree in 1996. From 2007 to 2015, Kris was a Kenton County Commissioner and now holds the position of Kenton County Judge Executive. He has contributed to various service organizations in the community. He has been on the board of the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission, NKCAC, Supported Living, and the Northern Kentucky United Way Action Council, Covington Rotary, and currently serves at the Faith Community Pharmacy. Kris and Lisa are involved in their church, St. Joseph of Crescent Springs, participating in various committees and councils. Kris and Lisa live in Crescent Springs, KY, with their three children.

After completing trade school, I obtained my Cincinnati Ohio Journeyman Plumbing License and various other certifications. After obtaining my license, I took on weekend side jobs. Those side jobs transitioned into full-time service plumbing. This is when R&T Plumbing was founded, enabling us to offer plumbing services directly to customers.
