The Schneller family established the company in 1928. Rudy and Jean Schneller were the first owners. In 2011, Kris Knochelmann acquired the company. Kris entered the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning sector during his high school years. In 1991, he, along with his brothers and brother-in-law, took over his family business, Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating & Air. They sold that business to Service Experts, a national chain owned by Lennox, in 1997. In 2011, after losing his job, Kris opted to purchase Schneller. Now, he works alongside his three brothers, four nephews, former technicians, managers, installers, and office staff, focusing on treating customers like family. That's how it should be!

Kris Knochelmann finished Covington Latin School and received his accounting degree from Xavier University in 1991. In 1996, Lisa Knochelmann completed her education at Notre Dame Academy and NKU, earning a degree in accounting. Kris served as a Kenton County Commissioner from 2007 to 2015 and is currently the Kenton County Judge Executive. He has been active in various community service organizations. He has been on the board of the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission, NKCAC, Supported Living, and the Northern Kentucky United Way Action Council, Covington Rotary, and currently serves at the Faith Community Pharmacy. In 2009, I entered the plumbing field as a helper at a prominent commercial business in the Cincinnati area. After gaining experience in the field, I became a member of the Cincinnati Master Plumbers Association. I attended four years of night classes while working full-time for a large plumbing company. Upon graduating from trade school, I earned my Cincinnati Ohio Journeyman Plumbing License along with several other certifications. After getting my license, I began taking on side jobs during weekends. The side jobs grew into a full-time service plumbing career. This is when R&T Plumbing was founded, enabling us to offer plumbing services directly to customers.
