Since high school, Kris has worked in the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning field. In 1991, he, along with his brothers and brother-in-law, took over his family business, Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating & Air. They sold that business to Service Experts, a national chain owned by Lennox, in 1997. In 2011, after losing his job, Kris opted to purchase Schneller.
