In 1928, the Schneller family launched the business. Rudy and Jean Schneller were the first owners. Kris Knochelmann purchased the business in 2011. Since high school, Kris has worked in the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning field. In 1991, he and his brothers, along with his brother-in-law, acquired Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating & Air, the family business. They sold that business to Service Experts, a national chain owned by Lennox, in 1997. In 2011, after losing his job, Kris opted to purchase Schneller. Now, he works alongside his three brothers, four nephews, former technicians, managers, installers, and office staff, focusing on treating customers like family. That's how it should be!

Kris Knochelmann finished Covington Latin School and received his accounting degree from Xavier University in 1991. In 1996, Lisa Knochelmann completed her education at Notre Dame Academy and NKU, earning a degree in accounting. From 2007 to 2015, Kris was a Kenton County Commissioner and now holds the position of Kenton County Judge Executive. He has contributed to various service organizations in the community. Kris has served on the board of the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission, NKCAC, Supported Living, and the Northern Kentucky United Way Action Council, Covington Rotary, and is currently involved with the Faith Community Pharmacy. Both Kris and Lisa are active members of St. Joseph of Crescent Springs, serving on different committees and councils. Kris and Lisa make their home in Crescent Springs, KY, where they raise their three children.
