Founded by Homer Potter in 1944, Potter Heating started as a solo venture in Fayetteville. As time passed, the company grew and moved several times. In 1981, after running the business successfully for 37 years and dealing with health problems, Homer sold the company to its current owners, M. Suzanne and David Kondra. Homer remained involved in the business until his passing in 1986.

In addition to the quality of its Bryant equipment, Potter also manufactures much of the ductwork used in its installations.
