Homer continued to play an active role in the business until he passed away in 1986.

M. Suzanne DeFuria serves as President of Potter Heating & Air Conditioning, a business established in 1944. The company provides heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and services, along with metal fabrication. In 1985, she took on the role of Vice President at Perrone Plumbing.

In 1986, she stood out as the only woman to complete a mentorship program in the Syracuse Builder's Exchange aimed at women and minorities. She maintains her mentorship relationship with pride, 22 years later. Moreover, Suzanne pursued and earned her heating license, making her one of just two women in CNY with this credential.
