During my teenage years, I had the fortune of being introduced to plumbing through my two uncles, each of whom owned their own plumbing and heating businesses. Back then, I wasn’t grateful for the chance and viewed the trade as “too messy,” but my initial dislike slowly evolved into a deep interest. I was eager to learn, and in no time, I advanced quickly as a plumbing mechanic. Despite my skills, I struggled to understand the underlying principles. My uncles instructed me in repairs and replacements, but whenever something was out of the ordinary, I was utterly confused! Nonetheless, I wasn’t satisfied with this narrow knowledge, so I committed to exploring the science and origins of plumbing! After a disagreement with a boss, I opted to go into business for myself, which set the stage for my aspirations to come to life! Ever since, I’ve been able to share my expertise with my two younger brothers and see them flourish as well!

Throughout my childhood, I frequently heard that I was bright or gifted, which led me to believe I was meant to build something larger than life. Growing up with a single mother, money issues were a constant challenge. I envisioned one day using my ‘talented brain’ to make our troubles disappear, yet that day felt like it would never arrive.
