This business was established in 1985 by Jim Coyle and Tom Ruperto following their shared apprenticeship. Initially, operations took place from their homes, but by 1994, they needed to move to a central facility in South Plainfield due to the demand for more warehouse space and the number of service vehicles. While Jim and Tom don't typically take service calls anymore, they frequently find themselves in customers' homes, either delivering parts to technicians or evaluating finished bathroom remodels. Initially focused on plumbing and hot water or steam boilers, RupCoe ventured into HVAC during the 1990s. The South Plainfield location was strategically chosen for its proximity to Rt. 287, a key connector between Middlesex and Somerset counties. We are committed to doing the job right on the first attempt, and if we do not succeed, we will return swiftly to correct the repairs at no additional cost. We provide comprehensive bathroom and kitchen remodeling services, and we even offer painting!
Jim Coyle completed his plumbing apprenticeship from 1977 to 1981. He then worked for FMC Corporation in Carteret, NJ, acquiring skills in industrial pipefitting and insulation. In September 1986, he departed from FMC to focus on RupCoe Plumbing & Heating full-time with Tom Ruperto. In 1990, Jim met Lisamarie Hohmann, the love of his life, and they married in 1991. They are proud parents of one son and three daughters. Jim is an active member of Sayrewoods Bible Church and enjoys saltwater fishing, clamming, full-court basketball, and karaoke. He takes pleasure in yard work and various household tasks. Additionally, he engages in charity work for those in need through the church. Jim enjoys taking friends and coworkers on fishing trips aboard his Parker 21' Sport Cabin, aptly named ""Fishers of Men.""
