Back in 2021. I had just left my union job. I was on assistance, wondering what came next. Then my little boy fell through a rotted section of the floor by my mother’s front door. That experience didn’t just disturb me; it ignited my passion. I didn’t reach out for assistance.
With what little I had left in my retirement fund, I purchased tools and built a plan. My initial venture was Aljets HandymanLandscaping. It changed quickly to K&A Homeland Improvements, K&A HouseCall Support, and eventually, K&A HouseCall Pro Contractors, formed in 2024.
I’ve been trading since I was a child, buying honey sticks for a small amount, reselling them for a 25 cents. My granddad and his siblings built a thriving union company from nothing, which has always inspired me to push harder.
