Dan, proud to be a third-generation member of the family business established in 1951 by his grandfather and overseen for more than 30 years by his uncle Bob Laughlin, cherishes this tradition. Dan graduated from Parkway West High School and embarked on a five-year apprenticeship, sponsored by Plumbers/Pipefitters Local 562. Upon earning his plumbing licenses for St. Louis City and St. Louis County, he was elevated to Job Foreman, taking charge of O.J. Laughlin's significant plumbing projects. Following five years as a Field Foreman, he moved into the office, receiving training to become an Estimator and Project Manager. In 2000, Dan ascended to the role of Vice President, overseeing the majority of commercial, industrial, medical, and healthcare projects. He took full responsibility for all design/build projects. On December 28, 2012, Dan and Bob Laughlin executed a purchase agreement, giving Dan complete ownership of O.J. Laughlin Plumbing Company, Inc.

Frank's sons, Joe and Bill, followed in their father's footsteps, broadening the company’s scope to include larger commercial projects while enhancing service and remodeling.
