After securing his plumbing licenses in St. Louis City and St. Louis County, he was promoted to Job Foreman, managing O.J. Laughlin's larger plumbing projects. Following five years as a Field Foreman, he moved into the office, receiving training to become an Estimator and Project Manager. Dan was elevated to Vice President in 2000, where he became responsible for a wide range of commercial, industrial, medical, and healthcare projects. He took full responsibility for all design/build projects. On December 28, 2012, Dan and Bob Laughlin executed a purchase agreement, giving Dan complete ownership of O.J. Laughlin Plumbing Company, Inc.
