Since its inception in 1951 by Oliver J. Laughlin and his wife Catherine, O.J. Laughlin Plumbing Company has developed to employ over 30 field staff, including plumbers and laborers, alongside a seven-person office crew. Once he obtained his plumbing licenses for both St. Louis City and St. Louis County, he advanced to Job Foreman, overseeing larger plumbing projects for O.J. Laughlin. Following five years as a Field Foreman, he moved into the office, receiving training to become an Estimator and Project Manager. Dan was elevated to Vice President in 2000, where he became responsible for a wide range of commercial, industrial, medical, and healthcare projects. He was solely in charge of all design/build projects. On December 28, 2012, Dan and Bob Laughlin finalized a purchase agreement, transferring sole ownership of O.J. Laughlin Plumbing Company, Inc. to Dan.
