He spent his after-school hours helping his grandfather, father, and uncles, who were plumbers running their own company. At 21, he achieved master plumber status and obtained certifications in water and gas line installation, as well as a water damage extraction license. Since 2002, Dom has been part of Metro-Rooter as a service technician, where his dedication and hard work became evident. Thanks to his great customer service, solid work ethic, and plumbing skills, he climbed the ranks at Metro-Rooter. Now serving as General Manager, he is on the path to becoming the District Manager. Metro-Rooter is expanding; by summer 2019, we will have two new locations opening. Our east side branch will be located in downtown Detroit, and our north side branch will be in Flint, Michigan.

Most projects, such as installing ceiling fans, fitting doors, or adding new plumbing fixtures, are billed at a flat rate, especially when they are standard across different homes or do not need a site visit for an estimate.

For smaller jobs like drywall fixes, furniture assembly, sticking doors, electrical troubleshooting, or any task where I can't predict the total time needed, I prefer to charge by the hour.

I charge $100 for the initial hour, which is my minimum fee, and $30 for each additional 30-minute increment.

I am always ready to begin any task on an hourly basis and can offer a flat rate after I evaluate it firsthand.

For larger remodeling tasks like kitchens, bathrooms, decks, or basements, I need to visit the site before I can give an estimate.

Note that I require a $50 fee for this service due to increasing fuel costs, which will be refunded if you choose to hire me for the complete project or a substantial part of it.
