McBurnie Oil Co. and Country Gas was established in 1976, taken over from Monson Oil Company based in Denmark, ME. During that period, Monson Oil served approximately 1000 fuel accounts. Since then, we have grown to a customer base exceeding 4000. We not only provide heating oil, as well as propane, gasoline, and diesel fuel. We now have a larger team to 14 employees with a commitment to service.

Recently, we have added a 90,000-gallon below-ground storage facility to allow us to buy at the best possible rate and ensure competitive rates for our customers.

Back in 2008, we merged with EnergyUSA Propane. This partnership enables us to maintain our high-quality services at competitive rates, which you have come to expect from McBurnie Oil and Country Gas.

I started my plumbing journey after trade school in Maine, working for a major service plumbing firm. I progressed from a journeyman to obtaining my Master Plumber license. In 2009, my family and I moved to Davidson, NC, where I worked for a few companies before establishing my own. As a small business, we are proud to see steady growth. We are licensed and insured, with nearly 20 years of experience.

I made a mid-life career change to plumbing. I graduated from Southern Maine Technical College in 2001, obtained my journeyman's license, and started my career at Caron & Waltz in South Portland, ME. Two years later, I sat for and successfully passed my Master’s license exam.

In 2009, my family and I moved to Davidson, NC. I passed the plumbing contractor's exam and received my license in North Carolina. Following my experience with various local companies, I decided it was time to launch my own.

Northstar Plumbing Services began as a part-time venture in 2013 and became a full-time operation in 2015. We specialize in service and repair/replacement of all plumbing systems, focusing on residential clients.
