Bob's Rooter Service began was established by Bob Trowbridge in November 2000. Brett, the son of Bob, began assisting him in the summer and after classes initially and is now a full-time employee at Bob's Rooter. Bob's journey into the construction trades began after his parents purchased a local hardware business in the Northeast district of Kansas City located at St John and Hardesty for a decade. This hardware store was put on the market in 1988 when Bob's parents chose to retire. Afterward, Bob took on the role of the manager for Evergreen Lawn Care based in Grandview, MO, which was subsequently bought by Barefoot Lawn Care, causing Bob to search for new job opportunities again. In 1991, Bob started working as the manager of the shop at Reddi Services at their previous site in Turner, KS. Later, Bob moved to the field at Reddi Services in the role of service technician and continued with them until the spring of 2000 after the passing of both his parents. Bob made the choice to go into business for himself and said goodbye to Reddi Root'r.

As I taught plumbing classes to new recruits at Roto Rooter, I refined my understanding of different plumbing products. After five years, motivated by a desire for more independence, I co-founded Morgan Miller Plumbing with Bob Miller in 1997.
