In December 1993, the Shyver couple bought Royal Mechanical Services from ERA and formed the firm. Tom played a crucial role in the initial success of Royal with the parent company and identified an opportunity to connect customers with sites through technology while promoting a strategy of personal communication. By keeping this focus, Tom and Charlene guided the company towards strengthening customer relationships. This database eventually transformed into our RAZOR facilities management system.

In the first three years after its reestablishment, the Shyver family managed operations from their residence.
