Bob's Rooter Service began by Bob Trowbridge on November 3rd, 2000. Bob's son Brett joined him in the summer and after classes initially and is now a full-time employee with Bob's Rooter. Bob's journey into the construction trades initiated when his parents acquired a local hardware business in the Northeast district of Kansas City located at St John and Hardesty for a decade. That store was sold in 1988 as Bob's parents opted for retirement. Following that, Bob became the manager with Evergreen Lawn Care in Grandview, MO, which was subsequently bought by Barefoot Lawn, prompting Bob to look for new work once again. During 1991, Bob started working as shop manager at Reddi Services at their previous site in Turner, Kansas. Eventually, Bob transitioned to fieldwork with Reddi Services in the role of service technician and worked there up until spring 2000 when he lost both his parents. Bob chose to establish his own company and said goodbye to Reddi Root'r.

My plumbing career began thirty-five years ago at Morgan Plumbing & Heating Company. After obtaining my master’s license, I sought new challenges, which I pursued by joining the well-regarded Kansas City franchise, Roto Rooter. At Roto Rooter, I was able to create a plumbing department from the ground up, acquiring knowledge of corporate processes while serving a diverse customer base throughout the Metro area.

As I taught plumbing classes to new recruits at Roto Rooter, I honed my knowledge of various plumbing products. After five years, motivated by a desire for more independence, I co-founded Morgan Miller Plumbing with Bob Miller in 1997. Our common goal was to create a business that values fairness and generosity for all, employees and customers alike.
