Continuing his father's legacy, Joe Glassman launched Glassman Climate Control in the town of Russell, Kansas in 1980. In 1985, he took over his father's firm, merged it with Glassman Climate Control and shifted the headquarters from Russell to Hays. With the expansion of Glassman's mechanical and building services, the company rebranded to Glassman Corporation in 1991.

Steven acquired the company from his parents in 2008 and rebranded it as Comfort Systems Inc. to reflect the growing emphasis on comfort and energy efficiency.
Steven is a licensed plumber and mechanical contractor in Kansas. He has received training as a home energy rater and has been a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Moreover, Steven holds NATE certification in duct installation and air distribution.
