In 1987, Daryl Welker started Poor John's Plumbing. His goal was to create a better life for his family. In 1995, he encountered his wife, and they teamed up in business. The couple ran the company together until 2014. Now, their son and nephew continue the family legacy.

Bob's Rooter Service was founded was by Bob Trowbridge on November 3rd, 2000. Brett, Bob's son, joined him in the summer and after school from the start and is currently a full-time team member for Bob's Rooter. Bob's journey into the construction trades began following his parents acquired Land Hardware in the Northeast district of Kansas City located at St John and Hardesty for a decade. The hardware store was sold in 1988 when Bob's parents chose to retire. Following that, Bob became the manager for Evergreen Lawn Care in Grandview, MO, which was later acquired by Barefoot Lawn Services, prompting Bob to look for new work yet again. In 1991, Bob started working as the manager of the shop with Reddi Services at their previous site located in Turner, KS. In time, Bob shifted to fieldwork for Reddi Services in the role of service technician and continued with them until the spring of 2000 when he lost both his parents. Bob decided to start his own business and parted ways with Reddi Root'r.

There, I had the opportunity to establish a plumbing department from scratch, gaining expertise in corporate procedures while serving a diverse customer base throughout the Metro area.

While instructing plumbing classes for new hires at Roto Rooter, I honed my knowledge of various plumbing products. After five years, driven by a yearning for greater independence, I joined forces with Bob Miller to establish Morgan Miller Plumbing in 1997.
