Mike Crosby, a Kansas City native, graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1980. Mike and his wife Sandy met in high school. Inspired by his father-in-law, a plumber, Mike developed an interest in the trade. After completing four years of education at Plumbers Local 8, Mike received his Journeyman's certification and went on to receive his Master Plumber's License.

Mike trained as an apprentice at A.D. Jacobson, specializing in commercial plumbing. Later, he transitioned to residential plumbing and dedicated many years to the local market. Following a year as a Maintenance Supervisor at KU Medical Center, he saw a chance to launch his own business.

After starting Crosby Plumbing Inc. in 2003, he engaged in both new home construction and service work.
