Located at 202 S Broadway in Larned, they offered reliable Maytag products, Motorola televisions, and Coleman HVAC systems, as well as service for all brands. In 1971, they moved to their current address at 622 Topeka Street. In 1977, Steven Lewis, their son, entered the business as an HVAC technician. Steven acquired the company from his parents in 2008 and rebranded it as Comfort Systems Inc. to reflect the growing emphasis on comfort and energy efficiency.
He is a licensed mechanical contractor and plumber in the State of Kansas. He has received training as a home energy rater and has been a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Additionally, Steven is NATE certified in duct installation and air distribution.

As a lifelong Larned resident, Steven graduated from Leadership Larned and has held positions as a member and Chair of the Building and Trades Board for the City of Larned. He has occupied all leadership positions in the Club and served as District Governor, subsequently being elected Council Chairman for the Lions of Kansas.
