In 1971, they transitioned to their current site at 622 Topeka Street. In 1977, their son, Steven Lewis, joined the business as an HVAC technician. Steven purchased the business from his parents in 2008 and changed the name to Comfort Systems Inc. to signify the shift towards comfort and energy efficiency.
Steven holds a State of Kansas license as a mechanical contractor and plumber. He is trained as a home energy rater and has been part of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Moreover, Steven holds NATE certification in duct installation and air distribution.
