In 1971, they transitioned to their current site at 622 Topeka Street. In 1977, their son, Steven Lewis, joined the business as an HVAC technician. In 2008, Steven took over the business from his parents and renamed it Comfort Systems Inc. to highlight the focus on comfort and energy savings.
Steven holds a State of Kansas license as a mechanical contractor and plumber. He has received training as a home energy rater and has been a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Steven is also NATE certified in air distribution and duct installation.
