Founded in 1946 under the name Ed Glassman Plumbing & Heating, the visionary Ed Glassman grew the startup into one of the busiest contracting firms in the region. In 1972, after years of service, Adolph, the father of Joseph alongside his partner, Charles Staab purchased the firm and changed its name to Glassman/Staab Inc.
Continuing his father's legacy, Joseph Glassman founded Glassman Climate Control in Russell, Kansas in the early 1980s. He bought his father's business in 1985, combined it with Glassman Climate Control and shifted the headquarters from Russell to Hays. With the expansion of Glassman's mechanical and building services, the name was updated to Glassman Corporation in 1991.
