In 1971, they transitioned to their current site at 622 Topeka Street. In 1977, Steven Lewis, their son, entered the business as an HVAC technician. Steven purchased the business from his parents in 2008 and changed the name to Comfort Systems Inc. to signify the shift towards comfort and energy efficiency.
He is a licensed mechanical contractor and plumber in the State of Kansas. He is trained as a home energy rater and has been part of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Additionally, Steven is NATE certified in duct installation and air distribution.
