Mike Crosby grew up in the Kansas City area graduating from Bonner Springs High School in 1980. Mike and his wife Sandy met in high school. Inspired by his father-in-law, a plumber, Mike developed an interest in the trade. Following four years of training with Plumbers Local 8, Mike earned his Journeyman's License and went on to receive his Master Plumber's License.

He completed an apprenticeship at A.D. Jacobson focusing on commercial plumbing. Later, he transitioned to residential plumbing and dedicated many years to the local market. After a year working as a Maintenance Supervisor at KU Medical Center, he saw a chance to launch his own business.
