In 1971, they transitioned to their current site at 622 Topeka Street. Their son, Steven Lewis, began working with the company as an HVAC serviceman in 1977. In 2008, Steven took over the business from his parents and renamed it Comfort Systems Inc. to highlight the focus on comfort and energy savings.
Steven is a licensed plumber and mechanical contractor in Kansas. He has received training as a home energy rater and has been a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Steven is also NATE certified in air distribution and duct installation.
