In 1971, they transitioned to their current site at 622 Topeka Street. In 1977, Steven Lewis, their son, entered the business as an HVAC technician. Steven acquired the company from his parents in 2008 and rebranded it as Comfort Systems Inc. to reflect the growing emphasis on comfort and energy efficiency.
Steven is a licensed plumber and mechanical contractor in Kansas. He has received training as a home energy rater and has been a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society since 1992. Additionally, Steven is NATE certified in duct installation and air distribution.

Steven has held all leadership roles within the Club and has served as District Governor, later being elected as Council Chairman for the Lions of Kansas the following year.
