During his career, Kalen Barker, a fourth-generation master plumber with 17 years of experience, was taken to the hospital by a colleague. After a brief stay, the hospital let him go, thinking it was an isolated event. Sadly, this led to a two-year battle with a nervous system disorder that left Kalen reliant on a wheelchair.

Eventually, Kalen found himself using the wheelchair less and was able to return to plumbing work.

After his recovery became known, Kalen's wife Stephanie inspired him to create a business to celebrate their regained health.
