Mike Crosby, a Kansas City native, graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1980. Mike and his wife Sandy met in high school. Inspired by his father-in-law, a plumber, Mike developed an interest in the trade. After 4 years of schooling through Plumbers Local 8, Mike received his Journeyman's certification and went on to receive his Master Plumber's License.

Mike worked an apprenticeship through A.D. Jacobson working on commercial plumbing. He then moved into residential plumbing, gaining extensive experience in the local sector. Following a year as a Maintenance Supervisor at KU Medical Center, an opportunity emerged for Mike to start his own company.

After starting Crosby Plumbing Inc. in 2003, he operated in new home builds and service areas.
