Our visionary leader established our company over seventy years ago as a small 2-man heating repair company.
The year 1973 - a new owner purchased the company.
In 1975 - Jules' son joined Commercial Service and began developing relationships with major businesses and institutions in the area.

In 2015 - Mike retired from the company. Our new leader was appointed the new President and CEO. He quickly appointed Adam VP of Commercial Operations, Charlie VP of Residential Operations & Humphrey to serve as Chief Financial Officer.
Charlie joined Commercial Service back in 2007 to enhance our residential heating and cooling services. I decided to downsize our company and shift away from industrial work.
By 2008, nearly all factories had moved or shut down.
Our focus transitioned from industrial HVAC to residential and commercial services.
At that point, we expanded into heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical.
Currently, our team consists of 10 employees, and we have expanded into small remodeling and light excavation.

While graduating high school, my dad, working in Africa on oil infrastructure for Nigeria, suggested I consider a career in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
I was drawn to mechanical work, and it seemed like an exciting field.
The challenge was obtaining a solid education, gaining experience, and finding opportunities in the field.
Eventually, everything aligned, and I enrolled in a small vocational school to study window units.
I recognized the need for further education and chose to attend Cincinnati Technical College.
I obtained an associate degree in mechanical engineering, graduating cum laude and second in my class.
I spent the next eight years working on numerous projects in the Cincinnati region.
In 1992, I returned to Indiana and launched my own heating and air conditioning business.
We focused on designing and engineering energy-efficient heating and cooling systems.
We aimed to create systems that delivered consistent temperatures, operated quietly, and functioned as designed.

My expertise lies in plumbing! I've always been eager to learn and understand different trades, so it made sense that I would start my own company.

In 1948, Louis Schneider established Schneider Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning at 989 C Avenue E, and it was incorporated in 1977. The management of the company was later taken over by his son, Jim Schneider. We are a dedicated HVAC contractor focusing on maintenance, installation, and repairs for air conditioning, heating, and plumbing systems.
