A&R delivers 24/7 service and fixes for all plumbing installations for residential customers. We focus on piping, ventilation, and civil contracting for new builds and upgrades.
Founded in the year 1925, A&R Mechanical Contractors, Inc. began as the Reichard Plumbing and Heating Company. Housed in a tiny garage on Illinois Street and initially offering two services, A&R survived the economic downturn, World War II, various recessions, and close to a century of transformations in the building to evolve into the leading firm it is today.
As local area and customers' operations developed, so did A&R. During 1967, we opened our maiden sheet metal shop and moved to our existing location on Kettering Park. Since then, we've persisted to enhance the services we offer to our clients. We actively research innovative tools like advanced modeling techniques, employ modular construction through automated manufacturing equipment and modular design. Our philosophy embraces an integrated project delivery model that enables us to evaluate, plan, implement, and create hospitals, academic buildings, manufacturing plants, and government buildings for the advantage of our communities.

We focus on delivering what our customers desire. We do not underestimate our customers' knowledge. If we have surplus materials, we can help lower expenses by sharing them. I have honed my skills across various trades over the years. I began my journey with carpentry and roofing. I then moved into the plumbing field. By the time I turned eighteen, I had gained experience in carpentry, plumbing, roofing, and both residential and commercial electrical work. At eighteen, I enlisted in the army and served as an engineer equipment mechanic and recovery vehicle operator for eleven years. Following my military career, I joined the Ironworkers union and finished a four-year apprenticeship. I worked as an ironworker for a total of seven years. For the last three years, I have been employed at a hog farm. I accepted this job to heal from injuries caused by a fall. I was recently let go for advocating for the safety of my coworkers and the well-being of the animals I cared for. I have since resolved to get back to what I excel at. I have launched my own business, one that takes pride in its work and dedicates the necessary time to complete tasks correctly. We prioritize quality over speed.
