Afterward, he relocated to Oelwein and secured a role at a RainSoft dealership in Cedar Rapids, IA as a sales manager. That same year, Terry established RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc in Oelwein, Iowa. In 2006, RainSoft of Oelwein expanded and built a new 6,120 sq. ft. facility in Waterloo, Iowa. With this new location allowed RainSoft of Oelwein, Inc to rebrand RainSoft of NE Iowa. The family operation persisted as Terry welcomed his daughter Rachel as the new vice president of RainSoft of NE Iowa. By 2016, RainSoft of NE Iowa expanded its reach, now including the areas of Jackson, Clinton, Scott, and Muscatine.

Rachel joined the company in the year 2006 and has been one of the owners since then. With a childhood steeped in RainSoft, she has been part of the company since she was born. Rachel went to UNI with plans to obtain a degree in education, but found the business world instead. Following her studies, she held a few different jobs before choosing to join the family business!
