I am 42 years old, and before plumbing, I attended at John Burns School of Medicine to become a medical doctor. It became clear that the demands—2-3 hours of sleep per night and hardly any free time—didn't suit me, so I decided to leave. I took a job at a local plumbing company.

There, I handled drain cleaning, hydrojetting, and other plumbing tasks. I enjoyed the work environment: traveling across our island, talking with customers, and solving problems right away. Fixing problems and making people happy was satisfying. I received my journeyman license.

The company I worked for was great, but the management was strict. My input to change our work weren't considered, so I opened my own company to make the changes I thought were best.
