On February 13, 1976, we began distributing American Standard products. This was a crucial development for PDI. The addition of American Standard products helped us prove our strength in the plumbing industry. This success enabled PDI to acquire other prominent plumbing brands, including A.O. Smith water heaters and later Aqua Glass bath fixtures.
With PDI's growth, the need for a bigger facility became apparent. The company aimed to remain close to its origins in the Lawrenceville area. We secured a property in a developing industrial park off Collins Hill Road, which offered convenient access to Georgia Highway 316. Our Corporate Headquarters were based at 20 Collins Hill Road from 1984 to 2006, but we needed to find a new location to facilitate further growth.
