In 1987, Chris began his plumbing career as a plumber's helper fresh out of high school for a summer job. After earning an Economics degree from the University of Georgia, Chris returned to plumbing as a service manager for a company in Marietta, GA. During that time, he acquired the skills and knowledge needed to run his own business. Chris currently holds a Class II Master Plumber license, a State of Georgia certification in septic pumping, drain field installation, and a Level 1A certification for soil and erosion control.

Tyler acquired most of his extensive skill set while managing a marina with several rental cabins in Kentucky. He mentions that he ""learned more than he ever thought he needed to about plumbing and electrical"" while overseeing the marina. He is now leveraging everything he has learned into Tyler's Toolbox, which he established in 2014. He is additionally University of Georgia graduate, holding a B.S. degree in Industrial Psychology. When not working, he enjoys music, rock concerts, and playing the guitar. He can't claim to be ""obsessed"" with the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs, he loves them as much as his wife does.
