Carson Plumbing was founded by Chuck Carson in 1982. The company began in their home, with his dear wife Penny taking care of many office responsibilities at the kitchen table. Things escalated for Chuck, and he soon found himself hiring staff and buying more trucks and gear as needed. As the business expanded, Mr. Carson purchased the property where Carson Plumbing now resides at 259 Wynburn Ave in Athens.

In 1989, a lightning strike caused a fire that destroyed the old wooden building, necessitating the construction of a new facility. The business has continued to thrive from this new site ever since. In February 2008, Chuck Carson transferred ownership of his well-established business to his two sons, Josh and Pete Carson. These new leaders have worked hard to uphold the same honest and respectful relationship with their customers and the community that their father instilled in them. Mike McCain, who joined the company in 1986, now manages Carson Plumbing.
